Jianping Wang is professor of Psychiatry and Psychology. She is recognized internationally for advancement of CBT training. She has developed and implemented CBT workshops, conducted individual and group supervision for graduate students, psychological counselors, therapists and psychiatrists, provided supervision for supervisees. She has published over 160 peer-reviewed articles, 3 textbooks (as first or sole author), more than 30 books translated from English (as chief editor or executive translator). She has been the advisor of many graduate students (including a few international students), most of whom have successfully graduated and are working in health or clinical psychology fields.

She led a program to explore the system of mental health services for the bereaved population under the support of the National Social Science Fund of China; She chaired the 1st International Congress on Grief Research and Intervention in China(http://psych.bnu.edu.cn/zt/2019icograi/)and designed a grief intervention project for bereaved people amidst COVID-19 in China.
