The First International Conference on Cognitive Psychological Assessment and Enhancement(ICCPAE) successfully held

The First International Conference on Cognitive Psychological Assessment and Enhancement, jointly organized by the Faculty of Psychology at Beijing Normal University, the Psychometrics Centre at the University of Cambridge, and Microsoft Research Asia, was successfully held on July 6-7, 2024, at Changping Campus of Beijing Normal University. The conference convened leading international experts and scholars in the fields of psychological assessment, cognitive enhancement, and artificial intelligence to delve into the latest research breakthroughs and technological progress in these domains. The event's program featured keynote addresses, case studies, and thematic seminar, all designed to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and investigate the practical utility of emerging technologies in evaluating and nurturing talent. The conference has welcomed participants from China, UK, Germany and the United States.

On the morning of July 6, the opening ceremony of the first International Conference on Cognitive Psychological Assessment and Improvement was held. Professor Chen Xing, Vice President of Beijing Normal University, Su Yanjie, President of the Chinese Psychological Association, Professor Che Hongsheng, the first dean of the School of Psychology of Beijing Normal University, the director of the Chinese Psychological Association, and the former director of the Professional Committee of Psychometrics of the Chinese Psychological Association, presented the opening remarks respectively. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Qiao Zhihong, Party Secretary of the Faculty of Psychology of Beijing Normal University.

The two-day conference features a main forum and six sub-forums, covering 44 presentations and two round-table discussions on artificial intelligence, brain imaging and cognition, mental health, image cognition, free painting, and innovative applications of creativity in the field of psychometrics. Sub-forum topics include brain imaging and brain cognitive assessment, mental health and emotion assessment, creativity assessment, AI, large model and psychological assessment, talent assessment and selection, test data mining and analysis, etc.

The closing ceremony was held on the afternoon of July 7. The two-day conference attracted scholars, university teachers and students, institutional representatives and corporate guests in many fields, a total of more than 800 people signed up to participate in the conference, participants through the Changping campus main venue, Changping campus broadcast venue and Haidian campus broadcast venue real-time synchronization, to participate in academic discussions.


The conference has provided a platform for global experts and scholars to communicate, promotes academic research and cooperation, displays new achievements in the combination of artificial intelligence and psychology, introduced new developments in the field of cognitive and psychological assessment, and showed the vigorous vitality of integrated development through all-round, multi-dimensional and deep-level sharing and exchanges. It has contributed to the development of the field of cognitive psychological assessment and enhancement, the wide application of psychology and the development of the global society.
